20111227 Gymnastics beatdown and Whole 30 Challenge

Workout of the Day:

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

There has been talk of a gym-wide Whole 30 challenge. It's official. It starts Monday 1/2/12. Here's the deal in a nutshell:

 

  • Begins 1/2/12 and ends 2/4/12
  • We will program a baseline WOD at the beginning of the challenge, and again at the very end. The person with the biggest improvement wins a prize.
  • We will also ask that you submit a reflection and/or your story. The person with the best submission will also win a prize.
  • We have a Facebook page for this challenge. Join it. You must "Like" this page in order to receive the Whole 30 manual and be eligible to win prizes. This will also be a really cool way to blog about the challenge, share recipes, etc.

 

We will send out a few more specifics a little bit later in the week. What you can do now is "Like" our page, get a manual and become familiar with it. The best advice that I can give on this challenge to always be prepared. Always have something Whole 30 approved in your fridge. Plan out meals for the week so you won't have excuses to bail. Write your shopping list now, get everything you need and cook up some healthy food this weekend. As always, we are here to help you. If you have any questions at all, you can e-mail any of us, post it on the Facebook page, or just ask us before or after class. This is a great way to change your lifestyle by getting rid of bad eating habits and obtaining some better ones to make you a healthier human being.
